Rani used to have a horse as a kid. It wasn’t anything like the creatures she’s working with now. And a part of her still loves her work and is amazed at what they’re achieving. She’d love to tell you abut it, but she can’t. She signed a confidentiality agreement, you see. But if you mention ‘Unicorns’, she won’t disagree with you. But she won’t tell you anything before she walks away.
She has always loved horses. Or at least she did until she came to work for Minos Genetics on the island of Harris. Now she’s not comfortable what’s being asked of her and deeply concerned about where her research is taking her.
She needs to get the research back on an ethical footing. If she doesn’t, then the horses might suffer and if the horses suffer, the chances are someone will get hurt.
